Why Visit

Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park

Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park offers a quieter, more intimate alternative to the busy Lake Chelan State Park, 18 miles northwest of Chelan along the south shore. Twenty-one hookup sites (full and partial) in a forested creekside setting accommodate RVs up to 30 feet with modern restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, and a camp store with supplies and fishing gear. Lake Chelan's crystal-clear water is right at your doorstep for swimming, boating, and fishing for kokanee salmon. The North Cascades backcountry begins right here.

Washington State Parks — built for exploration

Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park sits in a forested canyon at the upper end of Lake Chelan, near the transition from the dry Chelan Valley ponderosa pine zone to the wetter North Cascades alpine forest — a dramatic ecological shift visible within a few miles of hiking. The creek's canyon provides a cool, moist microhabitat in contrast to the surrounding sun-scorched hillsides, and the riparian zone supports populations of river otter, mink, and osprey fishing the exceptionally clear lake waters. At the head of Lake Chelan, the Glacier Peak Wilderness and North Cascades National Park are accessible by ferry from Chelan, putting one of the most remote and glaciated wilderness areas in the lower 48 within a scenic day-trip by boat.

🗺️

Remote and beautiful — far less crowded than the campgrounds near Chelan town. Sites 1–20 near the creek and private boat launch are the nicest. The marina nearby rents boats and jet skis. Limited cell service — a genuine digital detox spot on Lake Chelan's upper shore. Very quiet during the week; a good choice for families who want the Lake Chelan experience without the crowds.
