Why Visit

Lake Easton State Park

Lake Easton State Park is the most convenient full-hookup campground along the I-90 corridor between Seattle and Spokane, perched on a scenic alpine lake just 15 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass. Forty-five full-hookup sites accommodate RVs up to 60 feet with ADA-accessible restrooms, showers, and a dump station. Mountain views from the campground are excellent. Important note: the park sits between busy I-90 and active railroad tracks with several freight trains passing at night. Open May through October.

State Park

Washington State Parks — built for exploration

Lake Easton State Park sits at 2,200 feet in the Yakima River headwaters just below Snoqualmie Pass — one of the I-90 corridor's most important ecological crossings — where the river begins its descent from the Cascades through a managed reservoir flanked by old-growth forest. The John Wayne Pioneer Trail passes through the park on its 56-mile route across the Cascades, converting an abandoned Milwaukee Road rail corridor into a trail that follows the watershed divide between Pacific and Columbia River drainages. The Yakima River above Easton Lake is designated Wild and Scenic and is one of Washington's top blue-ribbon trout streams, while Snoqualmie Pass above provides access to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and its 700+ glacial lakes within a 10-mile drive.

🗺️

Loop A sites near Lake Easton (1–35) are the most desirable for water access and fill first — book the closest-to-lake sites 6 months out. Loops B and C have full hookup sites with good utility for longer stays. Easy I-90 access makes this popular for Cascade escapes. The lake is excellent for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Snowmobile and cross-country ski access in winter.
