Snohomish County park on Puget Sound with 30 water & electric sites (35 ft max) overlooking Saratoga Passage. Great for beach walking, kayaking, and wildlife viewing close to Seattle.
Kayak Point Regional Park occupies a rare stretch of undeveloped Puget Sound shoreline in Snohomish County, with 3,000 feet of beach frontage and sweeping water views across Saratoga Passage toward Whidbey Island and the Olympic Mountains. The 30 water-and-electric sites accommodate RVs up to 35 feet in a forest of mature firs above the beach — most sites have at least partial water views. The park's 700-foot fishing pier is one of the longest public fishing piers on Puget Sound, popular for perch, small salmon, and crabbing. A boat launch serves kayakers and small powerboats. Great blue herons nest in the old-growth forest, and bald eagles are commonly sighted hunting the shoreline. The beach at low tide reveals clams, oysters, and rich tidal life.
Kayak Point Regional Park protects a forested headland above Port Susan Bay, where the protected bay is one of the most important wintering grounds for waterfowl and Pacific Flyway shorebird staging areas in the greater Puget Sound. Port Susan Bay has been designated a marine preserve, recognizing its exceptional eelgrass beds, Dungeness crab nursery habitat, and significance as wintering habitat for canvasback, greater scaup, and surf scoter arriving from across interior Canada. The campground's elevated position above the bay provides panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains across the water, and the park's forest trails descend through mature second-growth to one of the cleanest remaining saltwater beaches on the eastern Puget Sound shoreline.

Sites near the 700-foot pier (1–15) are best — bring crab rings and fish from the dock for Dungeness crab, perch, and salmon. Stunning Puget Sound views with the Cascades visible on clear days. Small park that fills on summer weekends. The rocky beach at low tide is excellent for exploring. Good for kayakers — launch directly from the beach below camp.
