Why Visit

Beachside RV Park

Beachside RV Park is a well-maintained private park in Birch Bay, a small community on a protected saltwater bay just 5 miles south of the Canadian border and 15 miles south of Bellingham. The 50 full-hookup, 50-amp sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet within walking distance of Birch Bay's broad, sandy beach — one of the warmest swimming beaches in the Pacific Northwest thanks to the bay's sheltered, sun-warmed shallows. The park is popular with Canadian visitors as well as Seattle-area travelers heading to or from Vancouver, BC. Birch Bay State Park (another 2 miles south) adds hiking and additional beach access. Blaine, just 5 miles north, offers Border crossing access to Canada. Bellingham's full services, including a Costco, are 15 miles south on I-5.

Private Campground

Privately managed, full-service

Beachside RV Park occupies Washington's Pacific coast in a region where the open ocean beach and the vast Willapa Bay estuary create complementary natural ecosystems — wild Pacific shoreline and protected estuary — within a few miles of each other. Willapa Bay to the south is the largest intact Pacific Coast estuary in the lower 48 states, supporting world-class oyster production and critical habitat for brant geese and thousands of shorebirds staging during Pacific Flyway migration. The Long Beach Peninsula's ocean beach faces the full Pacific, and gray whale migration is visible from shore during spring northbound passage — with the best sightings typically in March when whales travel close to the Washington coast.
