Washington State Parks — built for exploration

Wenatchee Confluence State Park occupies the flat junction where the Wenatchee River joins the Columbia River, at the edge of eastern Washington's apple orchard country where the dry Cascade foothills meet the broad Columbia Valley. The Wenatchee River corridor is a critical steelhead migration route, and the confluence area is recognized as one of the best river birding locations in eastern Washington — with bald eagles, great blue herons, and white pelicans feeding along the river in season. The surrounding Wenatchee Valley connects to the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest's extensive trail network in the Icicle Creek drainage, providing access to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness within 15 miles of the campground.
