Washington State Parks — built for exploration

Lincoln Rock State Park occupies a sandy beach on the Columbia River just below the Lake Entiat reservoir, with views across the river to the eroded basalt formations that gave the park its name — an 80-foot columnar basalt profile resembling Abraham Lincoln. The Columbia River here flows through the transition zone between the Cascades' ponderosa pine forests and the Columbia Basin's shrub-steppe, creating a rich wildlife corridor used by mule deer, coyotes, and riverside nesting great blue herons. The Wenatchee River confluence visible from the park is one of eastern Washington's best fall steelhead fishing reaches, and Rocky Reach Dam's fish viewing windows 8 miles upstream offer an extraordinary opportunity to watch migrating salmon and steelhead passing through.

🗺️

Waterfront loop sites 1–40 overlooking the Columbia are the most coveted — book these 6 months out for peak summer. The swimming beach here is one of the best on the Columbia River. Loops B–D have full hookup sites well-suited for longer stays. The rock formation resembling Lincoln's profile is visible from many sites. Very popular for Fourth of July; book immediately when the 6-month window opens.
