High-desert reservoir park with 60 full-hookup and 121 standard RV sites near Moses Lake, famous for walleye and bass fishing in 6,000 feet of shoreline.
Potholes State Park occupies a rugged stretch of Potholes Reservoir (O'Sullivan Reservoir) in central Washington's Columbia Basin irrigation district, 17 miles southwest of Moses Lake. Sixty full-hookup sites and 121 standard sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet with flush restrooms, showers, and a dump station. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, but the dry heat is comfortable and perfect for water sports. The reservoir is renowned for walleye, yellow perch, crappie, largemouth bass, and rainbow trout fishing.
Potholes State Park is surrounded by the Columbia Basin Project irrigation network that transformed the scabland landscape from shrub-steppe desert to one of the most productive agricultural regions in North America — and inadvertently created the Potholes Reservoir's extraordinary wildlife habitat. The Potholes Wildlife Area adjacent to the reservoir manages over 28,000 acres of wetland, upland, and lake habitat that hosts one of the most remarkable waterfowl concentrations in the Pacific Northwest — tundra swans, sandhill cranes, and dozens of duck species stop here during migration. The ancient Lakes coulee system just north of the park exposes layers of Columbia River Basalt in dramatic canyon walls, and the chain of glacially-fed lakes in the coulee bottom support exceptional populations of wild rainbow trout in a geology-rich desert setting.

Waterfront sites 1–45 nearest the reservoir are prime for boating access — these fill first for summer holiday weekends. Hookup sites in Loops B and C are well-equipped for extended stays. The sand dune 'potholes' formations are unique in WA — explore them on foot in the morning before the wind picks up. The reservoir water is warm by July; jet skiing and wakeboarding are popular on calm mornings.
