Large membership RV resort on the Wenatchee River with 225 seasonal sites near Leavenworth. Membership or associate pass required — extensive amenities on 300 acres of ponderosa pine forest.
Thousand Trails Leavenworth is a sprawling membership-based resort on the Wenatchee River offering 225 seasonal sites across 300 forested acres of ponderosa pine. Note: access requires a Thousand Trails membership or a NACO/partner associate pass — casual walk-up camping is not available. For members, the amenities are exceptional: multiple pools, tennis courts, a rec hall, activities staff, fishing on the Wenatchee River, and easy access to Leavenworth and Icicle Creek trails. Sites accommodate various RV sizes; the forested setting means some sites have limited length due to trees. Open seasonally (approximately April through October). Non-members should consider Pine Village KOA (3 miles away) as a comparable alternative with full public reservations.
Thousand Trails Leavenworth sits in the Icicle Creek valley surrounded by the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, with proximity to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and one of Washington's premier steelhead and cutthroat trout fisheries in the Icicle River below camp. The Stuart Range's granite towers visible from the valley are the centerpiece of the largest expanse of exposed granite in the Cascades — a batholith surfaced through millions of years of erosion and now hosting some of the finest alpine climbing in North America. The Leavenworth area's east-slope ponderosa pine forest and shrub-steppe transition zones support a distinctive bird community including white-headed woodpecker, flammulated owl, and Lewis's woodpecker at the western edge of their Rocky Mountain range.

Sites near Icicle Creek (1–40) are the most scenic and most in demand. Paved sites throughout make manoeuvring easy for large RVs. Walking distance to Leavenworth's Bavarian-themed downtown — a unique and genuinely fun experience. Membership required; day passes sometimes available for one-time guests. The creek-side sites with mountain views are among the best private RV sites in the Cascades.
