Belfair State Park is a year-round marine park right on the edge of Belfair town, making it one of the most convenient Hood Canal campgrounds for resupply. Forty-three full-hookup sites (water, electric, sewer) split across two loops accommodate RVs up to 60 feet. A protected saltwater beach provides calm, family-friendly swimming. Full facilities include flush restrooms with showers and a dump station. Grocery stores and gas stations are under 2 miles away.
Belfair State Park anchors the far southern end of Hood Canal where the waterway becomes a shallow, estuary-like environment critical for juvenile salmon rearing and Pacific Dungeness crab. The park's saltwater shoreline fronts one of Hood Canal's most productive shellfish harvesting beaches, with butter clams, littleneck clams, and oysters accessible at low tide under seasonal Department of Fish & Wildlife regulations. The surrounding South Hood Canal watershed connects to the Tahuya State Forest, a 24,000-acre multiple-use forest that provides one of the largest contiguous blocks of forested habitat on the Kitsap Peninsula.
