Year-round coastal state park near Grayland with 100 sites (58 full hookup + 42 water & electric, 60 ft max) fronting the Pacific Ocean. Excellent razor clamming and cranberry bog scenery.
Grayland Beach is one of Washington's premier coastal state park campgrounds and one of the few open year-round with full hookup availability. The 100-site campground is split between 58 full-hookup sites (up to 60 feet) and 42 water-and-electric sites, all set in shore pine forest just steps from the Pacific Ocean beach. Grayland's beach is long, flat, and uncrowded — perfect for long walks, kite flying, and watching dramatic Pacific storms roll in during winter. The surrounding Grayland area is known for its cranberry bogs, which turn vivid red in October and are visible from the road. Razor clam digs occur seasonally (check WDFW for schedules), and Westport's deep-sea fishing charters are just 8 miles north. The year-round availability makes Grayland a favorite for off-season coastal retreats.
Grayland Beach State Park occupies a stretch of Washington's outer Pacific coast between the cranberry bogs of Grayland and the mouth of Willapa Bay — one of the largest intact Pacific Coast estuaries in the contiguous United States. Willapa Bay visible from the southern end of the beach is designated a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention, supporting world-class oyster production and critical habitat for black brant and thousands of shorebirds during Pacific Flyway migration. Gray whale migration passes close to this coast each spring, making it one of the more reliable shore-based whale-watching locations on the Washington coast, particularly during March and April when northbound whales feed within sight of the beach.

Sites near the beach access (1–30) are best. Full hookup sites available. Slightly less crowded than Twin Harbors while offering the same excellent beach access. Popular with razor clam diggers during seasonal digs — check WDFW for open dates. The beach at low tide stretches for miles in both directions. Good option when Twin Harbors is fully booked.
